A fresh start for a historic congregation

A new church focused on simply worshiping Christ.

In 1948, First Baptist Church of Dallas, Oregon, became one of the original congregations of the newly formed Northwest Baptist Convention. First Baptist developed a rich history through years of building relationships and reaching a beautiful and energetic farming community.

As the community grew, so did the church, expanding the original small wooden worship center into a thriving and blossoming building with educational and fellowship areas to shine the light of our amazing Lord into the community. However, as time went on there became a need for change.

At the same time, Living Water Fellowship was looking for a more permanent space to call their own. Through their connections with the Northwest Baptist Convention, Living Water Fellowship was given the blessing of beginning services in Dallas on September 11, 2022.

This is a new, bright beginning for both those faithful saints who have persevered at First Baptist over the decades, and for Living Water Fellowship to dig in and make Dallas their permanent home.

A community dedicated to the gospel.

The gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ being the perfection we could never be. It’s the power of God for salvation (Romans 1:16), it’s the matter of first importance for all Christians (1 Corinthians 15:1-4), and it’s the way that sinful people living in a broken world can come before God who is perfect (John 14:6-7).

We are a community dedicated to this gospel. It’s the core and foundation for the entire life of a Christian, and it’s why we gather together.

We believe and celebrate the Bible.

The Bible is inerrant, infallible, and sufficient in all it’s substance and matter. Besides Jesus Christ, it is the most precious gift that God has given and preserved throughout human history. The words of Scripture show us the perfect love, grace, and mercy of God while also teaching us how we must live.

Our worship services are focused on the importance of trusting God’s promises, living out His commands, and humbly accepting that He always knows best.
